Acknowledgment: Reflection, Responsibility, and Re Acknowledgment: Reflection, Responsibility, and Reciprocity. Before we can build a just world, we must start with acknowledgment—of ourselves, our impact, and the histories that shape us. As part of The Rhapsody Project’s MARCH Framework (Movement, Acknowledgment, Renewal, Collaboration, Heritage), this week, we highlight Acknowledgment: 🔹 How do you show up in a space or community? 🔹 Are you using your identity for justice or personal gain in a system built on white supremacy? 🔹 Are you listening to Indigenous voices and allowing their wisdom to inform your actions? One way to put acknowledgment into practice is by supporting Real Rent Duwamish (@realrentduwamish), an organization that advocates for the Duwamish Tribe, the original stewards of this land. Breath. Partake in a breathing activity with Liz, Breath. Partake in a breathing activity with Liz, and learn more about her role with The Rhapsody Project! When Liz is not with us, she is teaching yoga on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Peep the slide with her schedule so you can come through. Next week’s Unbroken Circle is with Maia Brown, who will be teaching Klezmer music AND there will be a jam right after this session! Spread the word and bring a friend. Our interns are getting into merch design, and are making mood board for a future drop. ;) Anyone want a rolling case? We have one that needs a home! DM us for pickup. Katana ( @entangledoceans ) was at @micentrowa creating a mural for the community, showing how Movement can be represented in Arts and Exposure. She spoke to youth about being aware that mistakes are taught into us and are not real! You can see her mural in Tacoma anytime while you are at @micentrowa_arts and their community events. Mi Centro exists to uplift the Latine community with resources for all to move and create in the Tacoma area. Move your body to King Street to learn about Music Theory today! Joe will be teaching about notes, rhythm and all things technical to mold your minds. Some music recommendations to stream that are within Rhapsody? We got Justin Golden’s Golden Country, showing vibrant musicianship and faithful vision, breathing new life into traditional blues songs. We have Katana’s debut dance track about moving your body and alchemizing rage from the modern world into a recession-pop styled beat. Perfect for these times. (@kataniica ) Finally, TRP’s Events team took a trip to @seattleopera for our planning and excitement of our location for this year’s Heritage Ball! Movement is liberation. Oppression thrives in sti Movement is liberation. Oppression thrives in stillness—when we remain stuck, disconnected, or afraid to move. But movement, in all its forms, is power. Whether through personal practices like dance, music, and breathwork, or collective action like protests and organizing, movement is how we reclaim space, express ourselves, and push for change. Migration is movement. Diaspora is movement. Our bodies, our stories, and our communities are shaped by the ways we move through the world. How do you move for liberation?
