Face The Music Registration
Next cohort will launch in February 2025, exact dates and times TBA. Sign up and let us know your availability.
Face the Music is a weekly, 90-minute, virtual class where two facilitators host cohorts of up to eight students for compassionate discussions about the history and evolution of Black American music.
After filling out this form, you will receive:
1. A calendar invite in Google Calendar for the eight meetings.
2. An email reminder / update each week that includes the (optional to view) recording of the previous session. Recordings will not be made available to anyone outside of the present cohort of students and facilitators (10 people maximum).**
3. A version of the curriculum that will give you an overview of what we’ll do throughout the eight weeks, with links to help you prepare for our discussions.
The Rhapsody Project’s facilitators have hosted over 100 people for this workshop and multiple members of these cohorts have subsequently joined our organization as volunteers, board members, contractors, and teaching artists. We hope that someday you might become one of us!
Thank you so much for your interest in joining our community, and helping us confront racism together. See you on the call!
* All sessions will be recorded, so if you need to miss a week, you can get caught up by watching the recording of the Zoom session on your own time.
**In the future, if all participants are comfortable with it, we may ask to highlight / share a snippet of one of our conversations. We will never share any of it without your prior consent.
