Join us this Monday from 6-7:30 PM at King Street Join us this Monday from 6-7:30 PM at King Street Station for our inaugural Unbroken Circle program as we welcome Sondra Segundo! Sondra is a dynamic educator, singer, and storyteller, deeply rooted in her Alaskan Haida heritage. As a published author and illustrator of Killer Whale Eyes and Lovebirds: The True Story of Raven and Eagle, Sondra has shared her love for Indigenous culture and art throughout the Northwest. She grew up singing traditional Haida songs with her Elders while also performing gospel music with a South Seattle choir, bringing together both worlds in her music. In addition to performing with the tribal band Khu.éex’, Sondra is the founder of the Haida Roots Language & Youth Arts Program, where Seattle-based Haida youth and families re-learn their endangered Xáad kíl (Haida language) through creative projects and structured lessons. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience her stories, songs, and wisdom firsthand!
