Music has a way of staying with us — through chang Music has a way of staying with us — through change, grief, growth, and everything in between. We asked a few of our team members: “What song helped carry you through a hard time?” Swipe to hear their answers, then add yours in the comments:

1️⃣ Drop the song title.
2️⃣ Tag the artist.
3️⃣ Share a sentence about why you chose that song!

Your suggestion may be exactly what someone else needs to hear today.

P.S. We’re building a “Songs of Resilience” playlist for our YouTube channel. Will yours make the list? Follow us on YouTube and find out! Link in bio.

In music, it’s a guitar designed with metal cones inside the body to make the instrument louder and brighter before electric amplification existed. At The Rhapsody Project, a Resonator is a supporter who helps amplify the voices, talents, and futures of young people. Through their monthly support, these “Rhapsody Resonators” help us to keep heritage, music education, and opportunities to explore the Arts within reach for young people in the Greater Seattle area. Read the full story on our blog and learn how this history connects to the work we do today.

Thank you to @seaofficeofarts for Youth Arts grant Thank you to @seaofficeofarts for Youth Arts grant support that helped us deliver free and low cost programs to Thurgood Marshall Elementary and Franklin HS this year! Please reach out if you would like our house band (a combination of our students and staff and board members) to perform at your school or community center and celebrate Juneteenth this year!
Also, please remember that every month is Black History Month, because without Black people, our nation's music would be totally unrecognizable.
