We’re proud to spotlight Brandi Waller-Pace (@bran We’re proud to spotlight Brandi Waller-Pace (@brandipacemusic), whose work bridges classroom, stage, and cultural advocacy. A member of our extended community, Brandi has long been committed to honoring Black traditions in American roots music. She founded @fwaamfest to create a space where history is honored alongside innovation, and where community gathering becomes a form of cultural preservation.

Rooted in Fort Worth but resonating far beyond Texas, FWAAM Fest reminds us that Black music is American music, and that these traditions are living, evolving, and deeply connected to the communities that sustain them.

We invite you to stand with the roots and carry this story forward!

MARCH is The Rhapsody Project’s framework for reco MARCH is The Rhapsody Project’s framework for reconnecting with heritage and building community. It’s a living guide to exploring tradition, sharing culture, and creating change-both
within ourselves and in the world around us.

There's two pathways to get to know the MARCH framework (we recommend both):
1. Participate in any of our classes, programs, or events. (We've got classes at King Street Station every week between now and June 5!)
2. Read about the MARCH framework on our blog to explore how each of these principles guides our team.

Community time is coming up soon at our March 19th Community time is coming up soon at our March 19th Open Mic! Bring a bit of artistry to share at the mic (priority will be given to young people actively engaged in our programs).

If you don’t have a song, story, or poem to share onstage, you are welcomed to bring a potluck dish or heirloom and share its significance as it relates to the layers of your heritage. Or just come listen and enjoy the vibes.

All are invited to celebrate the end of Winter Programs at this community event.

No RSVP needed. Sign up for a slot when you arrive!

Seattle creatives, let’s get real! Our co-founder Seattle creatives, let’s get real!

Our co-founder Joe is joining @wheelhouse.washington's “Creatives Get Real” panel next week, and we’re excited to see this conversation happen in our city.

Running a creative organization isn’t always glamorous. It’s layered. It’s human. It’s built on relationships. This panel is all about pulling back the curtain and talking honestly about what it really takes.

As one of the panelists, @joebanjo brings decades of experience as a musician, educator, and cultural organizer, and at the heart of his work is one belief: music connects people. Whether in classrooms, community halls, or concert stages, he’s focused on helping others understand not just how to play, but why it matters.

If you’ve been wanting to connect more deeply with Seattle’s creative community, this is a good room to be in.
